The Jean Shepard of the Lounge...

Hadn't thought about a couple of those things for a long time, "Going for a drive" I mean, i suppose I still do it but it was still a novelty in itself at the time. Tang, a tangible (little pun there) product of the space age that we could feel and touch. Invented for astronauts. I wonder now if that was just genius mad men marketing. Can you even still buy tang? is it still around in some food conglomerate empire's portfolio?

And the seatbelts thing. I sure a heck didn't wear them, they were for other people that needed them, you know sissies. I'm not even sure when I started wearing them or why, maybe when I started buying new cars, it was certain after 3 point seatbelts were introduced. Now, of course, I have a built in reflex to always put them on (and of course warning lights and a buzzer) but what day did that change? in my 30's

Yep, Jean Shepard would be proud.
